The Health and Wellbeing Fund run by Bellarine Community Health is being wound up at the end of its current funding round.
At the March 2018 BCH Board meeting, the Directors voted to bring the fund to an end as the Board felt a community grants program was no longer an appropriate function for a Community Health organisation.
The decision to wind up the fund follows considerable community feedback following last years Community Conversation meetings. That feedback was also reviewed by Bellarine Community Health’s Consumer and Community Advisory Group (CCAG).
“We are extremely grateful for the considerable work and effort that has gone into establishing the Fund and want to publicly thank the Independent Advisory Committee led by Chair, Garry Royal for the work to establish the terms of reference and assessment of the applications in the first two funding rounds,” BCH Board Chair Margaret Belfrage, said. “A lot of great community projects have been able to get off the ground thanks to the Health and Wellbeing Fund.”
The Health and Wellbeing Fund consisted of two funding rounds with a total of 43 projects approved for funding. Almost $333,000 was been allocated to community groups across the Bellarine.
We thank everyone who participated in the 2016 and 2017 Health and Wellbeing Fund community grants. For more information on these grants, please refer to the reports below.
