Healthy Places (Achievement Program)

We work with childcare settings, kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools across the Bellarine Peninsula to help make them healthy places for our children and young people.

This involves making changes such as healthy lunchboxes and canteen menus and meeting the benchmarks of the Achievement Program*. We are working toward this goal for our workplace too.

We use a framework to help create healthy places where we work, learn and play. We are here to help your school, kinder or childcare centre become one of these places.

Everyone can get involved, from staff and students to parents and the wider community.

Our Healthy Communities Team will provide support and guidance to help step you through the program.

If you are an early childhood service or school, why take part?

  • Healthy children learn better
  • Create community links by sharing your ideas and stories
  • Receive recognition and promote your success

What’s involved?

The Achievement Program gives you a framework to work through and achieve recognition for meeting the benchmarks in a set of health priority areas. It has been created to fit in with your current plans and actions. You can work through at your own pace with plenty of support and guidance from us along the way.
