Supporting our Community to Eat Well

We know that eating well keeps us healthy and happy.  There are many reasons people find it hard to eat well and many ways to make it easier.

We are working with others in our community on projects that will make it easier for families on the Bellarine Peninsula to:

  • Eat enough vegetables
  • Drink enough water
  • Drink less sugary drinks

Choose Water on the Bellarine

We are part of the Choose Water Every Day regional campaign because we want to see tap water take its rightful place as the #1 drink across our community.

Drinking tap water is the best option for our bodies and the environment.

We are also working to make it easier for our community to drink more water, to find out how click here.

Understanding what makes it easier or harder for Families to Eat Well

In 2018, we asked our Bellarine families to tell us about their experience eating vegetables, drinking water and sugary drinks on the Bellarine Peninsula. We found out there are lots of things which make it harder for families to eat and drink well, and lots of things which make it easier.

We continue to use this great info to help shape ongoing and future projects to support our community to eat well.
