A professional team of dentists, oral health therapists and dental assistants are committed to providing the best dental care using the latest techniques. BCH Dental Service can provide general and emergency dental care for public, private health insurance holders and full-fee paying patients.

Private Dental Care
Bellarine Community Health Private Dental Services offer general dental services and also emergency dental services to private health insurance and full fee paying patients. This service is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 5.00pm. All private health funds are supported for immediate claiming at the time of your appointment. View fees here.

Public Dental Care 
Eligible patients of all ages are able to access treatment through the public dental program.
The following people are eligible:
• All children under the age of 13
• Young people aged 13-17 years who are health care or pensioner concession card holders or dependents of concession card holders.
• Adults aged 18 years and over who are health care or pensioner concession card holders or dependents of concession card holders.
This is a public dental program. Different fees and eligibility apply to different age groups. 

Child Dental Benefit Scheme
Children aged up to 17 years with no concession card may still be entitled to receive free dental care through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. For more information click here.

Priority Access
Bellarine Community Health provides priority access to dental care for children, young people, pregnant women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, refugees and asylum seekers and registered clients of mental health and disability services.

BCH_Autism_Dental_Project_w__2_.jpgAutism Spectrum Disorder - Pilot Dental Project
Bellarine Community Health is launching a pilot dental project for people with a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) The trial will provide a personalised dental service for patients with Autism, as well as providing autism training for the dental team at Point Lonsdale. The service will be available to anyone with a ASD diagnosis with no age or location restriction.

BCH has established a special online community forum for more information about the ASD dental service with blogs and discussions.
To join the community you need to create an account through the sign in button on the BCH Home Page. Once you have an account, log back into the BCH website, and then you can join the ASD Dental Project Community on the Communities Page.
The project is in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services and will run until December 2019.
